Mr Langford was the Head in my first year, then Mr. Stephenson replaced him.
I was a member of the school Army Cadet Force and in 1948 represented the school with them at an Athletic Meeting at Paignton.
On leaving school I joined the family business, Kingsley Decorators with shops in Bridgeland Street and North Road.
I did my two years National Service in the RAF obtaining the rank of Senior Aircraftsman.
I was a member of Bideford Chamber of Trade, becoming their President in 1971/72. The same year I joined Bideford Rotary Club and was their President in 1985/86, helping during that time in office to form The Bideford Bridge Rotary Club.
I also had the privilege of serving as a Magistrate on the Bideford Bench for 30 years which was very interesting work.
I am now retired in Westward Ho!
