During this period, I was living in Sunbury and played rugby for the H M Customs & Excise team, which used one of the public sports fields for club sides at Twickenham.
1972 – 2006 Returned to Bideford as a Partner in T A Heal & Co., Chartered Accountants, throughout which time the firm expanded until its eventual acquisition by what is now Thomas Westcott.
2003 – 2004 President of South West Society of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales
2006 – 2014 Joined Davisons, Chartered Accountants, South Molton, initially as Director and subsequently as a Consultant
2012 OBA President
2014 – date Sole Practitioner Chartered Accountant and Business Consultant
Interests over the years have included Rugby with the Bideford RFC and Cricket with firstly
Alwington, and from about 1980 onwards Edgehill Wanderers Cricket Club, into which many
BGS Old Boys were persuaded to play!
